The Role: We have an amazing opportunity for a talented professional and passionate Chef to join a busy Hotel in Hastings. You will be supporting the head chef with leading a passionate kitchen team, creating fresh and innovative dishes, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation.
The main duties include: * Help organise and lead the busy catering team, ensuring a successful and efficient service is provided. * Assist in creating innovative, seasonal menus * Prepare and present food to the highest standard and quality. * Maintain portion control and minimise waste to support financial goals. * Assist with the ordering of stock. * Ensure all legislation and procedures are adhered to.
What exactly are we looking for? * Food Safety Level 2 or 3 certification. * Proven experience as a Senior Sous Chef or in a similar role within a busy kitchen environment, preferably in a hotel or restaurant setting. * Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary trends, and kitchen equipment. * Strong leadership and team management skills. * Excellent organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to work efficiently under pressure. * Creative flair with a passion for delivering high-quality and innovative dishes. * Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. * Knowledge of health and safety regulations, including COSHH, and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
