Enjoy working with a largely manufacturing population in a broad generalist, operational HR role? If so, we've got a great 12-month fixed term contract!
We're looking for a Senior HR Advisor / Junior HR Business Partner with bags of initiative who thrives in a busy, varied role where no two days are the same. Working closely with the HR Lead, you'll be providing advice and guidance to all levels of managers, operating as a trusted advisor on all people-related issues. This role will encompass the day-to-day elements of a typical generalist HR role including Employee Relations and will also have a content of HR project work.
Key Responsibilities:
* Proactively support managers on a range of policies, procedures, and good practice to drive performance.
* Coach managers on disciplinary and grievance cases and performance management.
* Develop and enhance policies and procedures, keeping up to date with employment law.
* Support the HR cyclical activities including annual pay review, bonus, objective settings, and performance appraisals.
* Work as part of the wider HR team participating in new initiatives and projects.
* Manage 1-2 direct reports.
There's plenty of exposure in this role and it will provide some great experience for someone looking to eventually grow into an HRBP role. You'll need a good base of generalist HR experience gained in a fast-paced, commercial business, an ability to network and navigate your way around a larger, more complex business, and an interest in finding solutions, working on your initiative.
Minimum Requirements:
* Sound knowledge of UK employment law and its application.
* Hands-on experience of HR systems.
* Experience of advising managers on a range of employee relations matters, including change management.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Hybrid working - 3 days in the office.
