Description
We're looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our growing team. You’ll play a key role in shaping the future of our commercial data pipelines and analytics capabilities by leading the design, migration, and implementation of robust data solutions across our cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities
* Build, maintain, and optimize complex SQL queries and ETL processes
* Lead on the design and implementation of scalable data lakes and pipelines in AWS
* Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
* Provide second-line support and uphold data SLA commitments
* Mentor junior analysts and provide QA and peer-review support
* Document processes clearly and support business operations through ad hoc and regular data deliverables
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
* 5+ years in SQL and data warehousing, working with large datasets (500,000+ records)
* Advanced SQL query writing and performance tuning
* Experience with Microsoft SQL Server (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS)
* Cloud experience (AWS preferred; GCP or Azure also considered)
* Proven stakeholder engagement and translation of business requirements into technical specs
Desirable Skills
* Experience with Python
* Strong Excel and familiarity with Power BI or Tableau
* Domain knowledge in retail, marketing, CRM, or loyalty sectors
* Degree in a quantitative subject
