We are currently recruiting for an organised and target focused Group, Conference and Events Sales Executive (Full Time) to work within our fast-paced Revenue team.
The Hilton Bournemouth is a modern, stylish hotel boasting 177 designer bedrooms, Phoxtrott Ballroom and 8 Meeting rooms, the popular LEVEL8IGHT SkyBar, destination restaurant - Schpoons and Forx, Eforea Spa and attractive Leisure facilities ideally located right in the centre of Bournemouth.
About the role:
To be totally customer focused by consistently delivering excellent customer service with an informed, friendly and effective approach.
Your duties will include:
* Respond to conference and events enquiries over the phone and email in a timely manner, send high quality and engaging proposals, negotiate on rates and convert enquiries to confirmed bookings.
* To enter bookings on event and bedroom systems ensuring high level of accuracy.
* Completing group and event contracts and function sheets to a high standard to ensure the success of every event, then effectively hand the events over to the Operations team to run on-site.
* To reactively and proactively sell the hotel facilities, including regular sales weeks to ensure the budgeted figures are achieved/exceeded.
* Maximise sales and room occupancy at all times, whenever possible making additional sales on upgraded packages or F & B options.
* Meet and exceed set targets for Revenue conversion and enquiry handling test call.
* Communicating and liaising effectively with other departments within the hotel.
* Providing an exceptional guest experience to encourage repeat business.
About you:
We are seeking an individual who is customer focused and has an excellent command of both verbal and written (to GCSE level or equivalent) English. You must also be able to demonstrate you are/have:
* Reservation / Events / Sales experience.
* Experience of meeting and exceeding revenue targets and KPI’s.
* Confident to meet clients for show rounds to sell the hotel and undertake various sales activity.
* Organised approach, experience of multi-tasking in a busy environment.
* Strong administration skills, with a focus on attention to detail.
* Ability to take ownership of situations and make decisions.
* Clear, professional and articulate telephone manner.
* Computer literate (preferably with Delphi and OnQ experience).
