Kenect Recruitment is seeking an Inside Sales Executive for our client based in Mallusk. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established land freight company with a global presence. Ideal candidates will be sales professionals or individuals with experience in land freight who are looking to transition into a sales-focused role. Salary £28K to £30K + 15% Sales Bonus based on Performance Hours of Work Monday-Friday (08.30-17.00) Purpose of Role: To source, develop, and secure new land freight customers within the assigned region. The role focuses on identifying and delivering new business in the Land product line to exceed sales targets. Main Tasks and Responsibilities: Commercial Responsibilities Achieve gross margin targets on new Land business sales. Secure a minimum target of new customer shipments each month. Maintain a healthy pipeline of opportunities. Reach a minimum contact target per week through cold calling, email marketing, and networking. Regularly update the Head of Land Sales and Branch Managers on competitor developments and business challenges. Collaborate with the Land Business Unit, including Pricing & Solution Design, Direct Road Brokerage, and Revenue & Product Management on target accounts. Gain thorough knowledge of the Land product offerings. Engage with cross-functional teams and other branches to enhance customer experience. Customer Services Develop strong business relationships and provide solutions that meet or exceed client expectations. Administration Keep accurate records of customer interactions. Follow company administration processes for seamless customer experiences. People Management Foster partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. Financial Management Monitor associated Revenue/GP levels with customers to ensure expected trading activity. Compliance Adhere to the Compliance Policies and Procedures of the Company. Experience / Knowledge Strong relationship-building skills and a proven ability to secure new business. Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively. In-depth industry knowledge within Land and understanding of Customs Clearance and Incoterms. Personal Attributes Proactive and target-driven with strong communication skills. Self-starter who thrives under pressure. Confident and empathetic with excellent time management and collaboration skills. Qualifications / Education Proficient in Microsoft 365. Relevant experience in sales within the logistics industry is preferred. Specialised Skills Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
