Location: Tresham College – Corby Campus

About the role:
We are currently seeking Sales Executive to join our Business Development department at The Bedford College Group .
Reporting to the Regional Business Development Manager for our Tresham Campuses, you will work as part of a team to support all types of employers that generate levy and non-levy funding. You will be specifically responsible for liaison and oversight of businesses of a smaller scale, and have potential for growth (volume or depth), or who require support or re-engagement strategies to maximise their customer relationship with the college and sector area. It is therefore key that you have an understanding of the Northamptonshire area, and the businesses that sit within it.
You are responsible for building sustainable high-quality relationships with employers to generate spend, and developing sales activity for apprenticeship, commercial, T-level engagement, and other products.
You will support, as part of a team, the employer engagement work across a single campus structure, assigned to one of three campuses. You will support employer and engagement initiatives and activities, prioritising a high-quality end to end relationship management process.
As a Sales Executive, you play an important role in the success of our students through:
1. Employer Engagement - Work with regional employers, deliver briefings, and ensure training and recruitment needs are met with high-quality practices.
2. Proposals and Negotiations - Present proposals, agree on costs and training outcomes, and negotiate fees using an agreed costing model.
3. Customer Management - Provide end-to-end customer management, maintain regular communication, and manage relationships to maximize future business.
4. Marketing and Promotion - Support marketing activities, undertake promotional activities, and engage with curriculum teams for work placements.
5. Compliance and Reporting - Conduct Health and Safety assessments, record activities in the CRM database, produce reports, and ensure compliance with college policies and statutory duties.
About you:
6. Qualifications and Experience - Level 2 or higher in relevant disciplines, GCSEs in Maths and English, continued professional development, andmust have recent B2B and customer-focused experience.
7. Skills and Abilities – Knowledge of the Northamptonshire area, and it’s businesses that fall within it isessential, planning and managing workloads, delivering sales campaigns, effective communication, building relationships, and utilizing CRM.
8. Values and Attributes - Commitment to college values (student-centered, educational excellence, teamwork, continuous improvement, caring, inclusive), influencing others, and promoting the college's reputation.
9. Interpersonal Skills - Effective communication face-to-face, on the phone, and in writing, adapting to change, analysing information, and developing supportive environments.
10. Additional Requirements – Must have a valid driving licence and a car and be able to travel to the Corby office on a regular basis, willingness to update skills, flexible working, travel requirements, health and safety awareness, and holding a full UK driving license.
