Description
About The Role
We're looking for a Senior Kitchen Manager / Head Chef to join the Butlin's Team based in Skegness.
A Butlin's resort is the home of getting stuck in, and no trip to the seaside would be complete without great food. We offer this to every guest, every time in our restaurants.
We believe that variety is the spice of life. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to lead and develop our team in the Restaurants Department's fantastic food venues.
Your responsibilities include ensuring Junior Kitchen Managers lead each shift, maintaining compliance with all food safety and Health & Safety policies, placing orders with our onsite warehouse, and ensuring adherence to HACCP processes.
You will communicate with the Food Development Team regarding operational challenges and work to establish and develop a highly motivated, proactive culinary team with high ethical standards that delivers a cost-effective, quality-oriented service. You will also enforce cost control procedures, monitor waste and breakage, and collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth operations.
About You
We seek individuals with previous experience managing a kitchen operation at a similar level, with a proven track record of managing team performance and developing people effectively in a commercial culinary environment.
You should be hardworking, reliable, and proactive, always seeking improvements to ensure our brand standards are consistently met.
We value energetic, enthusiastic, high-spirited, and fun-loving candidates who understand their role and the value they add to the guest experience by unlocking the potential of their team.
You must have passed your Level 3 Food Safety qualification and be confident in leading a team to maintain high standards in a fast-paced, busy kitchen environment.
Our chefs are something special, and our guests love returning to our restaurants as part of their holiday experience. The ideal candidate will be fun, eager to participate, team-oriented, and committed to ensuring guests have a great time every visit.
Typical working hours are 40 hours per week, spread over five days out of seven, including a bonus scheme.
