Salary: 65,000 - 65,000 GBP per year Requirements:
* Strong technical consultancy experience across ETL, ELT, Data Warehouse, and Big Data, with comfort in hands-on delivery.
* Experienced in ETL applications; familiarity with Informatica suite (Power Centre, BDM, IICS, IDMC) is advantageous.
* Proficient in Cloud technologies, particularly AWS Data Lake.
* Knowledgeable in a variety of database technologies such as Postgres, Oracle, and Snowflake.
* Awareness of scripting languages like Python and PySpark for data transfer and manipulation.
* Ability to assimilate technical and business information and translate them into practical solutions, while positively challenging existing and proposed solutions.
Responsibilities:
* Provide data technical expertise, delivery capability, and project execution guidance across the development and IT Change community.
* Ensure development standards are maintained in delivering solutions on time and within budget.
* Understand the detailed technical deliverables and requirements across multiple projects.
* Serve as a technical expert in Data Engineering technologies and contribute informed technical input into solution designs.
* Balance involvement in projects as necessary, supporting and guiding the development team.
* Lead the development of ETL solutions on a project-by-project basis.
* Use technical knowledge to ensure solutions are performant, secure, and adhere to governance standards.
* Promote the use and enhancement of shared utilities and common coding routines.
* Support production applications, including defect analysis and emergency fixes.
* Act as a point of contact across the wider Data Analytics Program for technical guidance and support.
