Electrical/Domestic Tester
Main duties and responsibilities for an Electrical/Domestic Tester
As an Electrical/Domestic Tester you will report to the Supervisor / Contract Manager, and you are the first point of contact between the business and our client. You must have good written and oral communication skills and have a high level of technical knowledge across the electrical industry.
Working hours are Monday-Friday 08.00-17.00 with weekend work and overtime available upon request!
The main duties of an Electrical/Domestic Tester include:
* Conduct EICR testing and inspections to ensure all electrical installations comply with current regulations.
* Perform routine electrical testing and maintenance on housing association properties.
* Diagnose and repair electrical faults in a timely and efficient manner.
* Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems.
* Diagnose and repair electrical faults in a timely and efficient manner.
* Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Complete EICR certifications and accurate records of all inspections, tests, and repairs.
* Provide excellent and friendly customer service to tenants and address any electrical concerns promptly.
Qualifications:
* NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
* City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 in Inspection and Testing.
* 18th Edition
* Proven experience in EICR testing and electrical testing.
Experience & Skills
* UK Driving Licence (required)
* Experience in electrical repair, maintenance, servicing & installations, preferably within the public sector
* A sound knowledge of tools, equipment & materials common to the Electrical Trade
* Current Trade Qualifications
* Good communication skills, both verbal & written
* IT literate
