We’re looking
for an Automation Tester who expects more from their career. It’s a chance to extend and improve dunnhumby’s Software Engineering team. It’s an opportunity to work with a market-leading business to explore new opportunities for us and influence global retailers.
Joining our team, you’ll work with world class and passionate people to own and shape the direction of a significant area of value, whilst operating across multiple domains, defining contexts & boundaries and articulate why behaviour should live in a given context.
What you’ll be working on
1. Work closely with developers, QA engineers, product owners and business users to derive requirements.
2. Develop, write, and execute automated Test Scenarios and scripts to validate software functionality efficiently and accurately, encompassing both automated testing and regression testing methodologies.
3. Create, maintain, and enhance automated test suites using industry-standard automation tools, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and effectiveness in detecting defects.
4. Accurately document and collaborate on issue resolution, utilizing automated test results to prioritize and address defects promptly.
5. Utilize automated testing to ensure performance, security, and usability criteria are met, supporting the identification, and addressing of nonfunctional requirements.
6. Ensure efficient release processes by integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for reliable software releases, coordinating with relevant teams for seamless QA activities.
7. Provide comprehensive and timely reporting on automated test progress and outcomes, communicating effectively with stakeholders to convey insights into software quality and testing effectiveness.
What we expect from you
8. 3+ years of experience working in Agile/Scrum-based/Kanban development environments using iterative development cycles
9. ISTQB Foundation or equivalent certification
10. Experience in Cloud platforms (GCP/Azure/AWS)
11. Experience in database testing
12. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and release candidate management using tools like GitLab/Octopus/Jenkins
13. Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., SOAP UI)
14. Experience with Test automation tools such as Cypress, Selenium, Nightwatch, or Playwright
