Adkins & Cheurfi are excited to be recruiting for a Head Chef for a relaxed all-day dining venue in Corbridge.
Our Client is seeking a skilled Head Chef to lead their kitchen team in their newly opened cafe & restaurant, just outside Newcastle. Having opened in July, they serve dishes from an exciting all-day dining menu. The ideal candidate would be an experienced Chef looking for a better work/life balance or a keen, up and coming Sous Chef ready to take over their first kitchen. As the Restaurant is closed on Monday and Tuesday, the team work 5 shifts from Wednesday to Sunday.

Duties
1. Oversee all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
2. Manage kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and supervision.
3. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness.
4. Collaborate with restaurant management to plan and execute special events or themed nights.
Skills
1. Strong leadership abilities to effectively supervise kitchen staff.
2. Extensive experience in restaurant kitchens, demonstrating culinary expertise.
3. Proficiency in food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment operation.
4. Excellent understanding of hospitality principles to deliver top-notch customer service.
5. Knowledge of food safety standards and practices to maintain a hygienic kitchen environment.
6. Culinary qualifications or relevant certifications would be advantageous.
