Adkins & Cheurfi are recruiting for an experienced Head Chef on behalf of a food focussed restarurant based in Newcastle. \n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nKitchen Leadership: Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including staff management, scheduling, and training.\n\nMenu Development: Design creative and appealing menus that cater to a diverse audience, including families and children.\n\nFood Preparation: Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standards, consistently delivering quality and taste.\n\nCost Control: Manage food costs, stock levels, and waste to maximise profitability.\n\nCompliance: Ensure the kitchen complies with all health and safety regulations, including food hygiene and allergen management.\n\nTeam Development: Foster a positive working environment, mentoring and motivating your team to excel.\n\nSkills & Experience Required\n\nProven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Chef in a similar family-friendly or casual dining environment.\n\nStrong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and inspire a team.\n\nA passion for creating delicious, family-friendly meals with fresh, locally sourced ingredients.\n\nExcellent organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure during busy periods.\n\nA solid understanding of kitchen operations, cost control, and menu planning.\n\nKnowledge of health and safety standards and food hygiene regulations (Level 2 Food Safety Certificate or above is preferred)
