Sous chef required for a Rosette establishment in the Lake district, this kitchen has a great name in the foodie market in the Lakes. They can offer to live in (please note the live in is off-site, so transport is required). This is a gastro-style food offering and has won a number of awards. They only do 60 covers across the Restaurant and the lounge/bar area. They also have a garden. This is a perfect role for a senior sous chef or junior sous chef looking to step up, as the Head Chef is very strong, they are looking for someone who can cover on his days off and offer more support in the kitchen, which makes it an ideal role for a step-up candidate
The role
As a Sous chef you will run a section and cover the pass when the head chef is off. You will ensure the food maintains the rosette level and that the kitchen runs smoothly. When running a section, you will get your section ready and when running the pass, you will ensure the small kitchen all functions well. This role will include all the standard Sous chef duties.
Expeirence
We are looking for a Sous chef with a fresh food background, ideally with knowledge of Rosette as well. You will either be a sous chef OR be ready for a step up to sous chef and currently a senior chef de partie or junior sous chef. You will need to be able to drive, due to no transport in the area and the live in is off site.
