Job Description:
As the HR Director, you will be a strategic partner to the leadership team, shaping Forefront RF’s culture and employee experience while ensuring our HR practices align with business goals. This role requires a balance between strategic leadership and hands-on HR management. You will oversee all aspects of the employee lifecycle, from talent acquisition to development, compliance, and engagement.
This is a part-time role (approx. 3 days a week), to be based in the Cambridge office, but with some travel to the Netherlands team as and when required.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
* Partner with the CEO and leadership team to develop and implement a people strategy aligned with Forefront RF’s growth trajectory.
* Act as a trusted advisor on workforce planning, talent development, and organizational structure.
* Drive a culture of high performance, innovation, and collaboration.
Talent Acquisition & Development
* Design and execute recruitment strategies to attract top-tier engineering, operations, and commercial talent.
* Implement structured onboarding, career development, and performance management programs.
* Foster leadership and technical capability development across the organization.
Culture & Employee Engagement
* Develop and implement strategies to boost employee engagement and retention.
* Ensure that Forefront RF’s core values are embedded into everyday operations.
Operational Excellence & Compliance
* Oversee all HR operations, including compensation, benefits, immigration, and HR policies.
* Ensure compliance with UK employment law and HR best practices.
* Continuously improve HR systems and processes to support scalability.
* Collaborate with Operations to develop and manage health & safety policies.
* Oversee HR operations in the Netherlands to ensure consistency and liaise with local HR support.

* Experience: Demonstrable experience in HR management, with previous experience in a leadership role, preferably within a high-growth tech or engineering company.
* Leadership: Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive people initiatives at scale.
* HR Expertise: Strong knowledge of employment law, organizational development, and talent management.
* Culture Champion: Experience in embedding company values and fostering a positive workplace culture.
* Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with hands-on involvement.
