Job Title: Data Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team at Anson McCade. As a Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data systems that drive business insights and decision-making.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented team of data professionals on a national security programme within one of the UK's largest consulting firms. You will be responsible for managing and developing pipelines that transform raw data into valuable insights for clients, working with diverse data sources, and applying distributed computing techniques to handle large datasets.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and develop large-scale data systems that meet business requirements
* Develop and optimize ETL processes and data pipelines
* Work with diverse data sources, including batch, streaming, real-time, and unstructured data
* Apply distributed computing techniques to handle large datasets
* Translate technical solutions into business outcomes and communicate value effectively
Requirements:
* UKIC DV security clearance
* Hands-on experience ingesting, transforming, and integrating data from diverse sources
* Proficient in developing and optimizing ETL processes and data pipelines
* Experience with distributed computing techniques
* Knowledge of data governance, including data security, metadata management, and data lineage tracking
* Strong system design skills for building scalable, high-performance data architectures
* Proficiency in coding with a focus on modularity, reusability, and efficiency
* Understanding of the full development lifecycle (SDLC), version control, and CI/CD pipelines

* Competitive salary range: £45,000-£65,000
