Role Overview
The Data Engineer will work closely with multiple departments to design, develop, and manage scalable data pipelines, ensuring that data from various internal and external sources is properly ingested, processed, and transformed for use across the business. By maintaining the integrity and efficiency of the data infrastructure, the Data Engineer will be instrumental in supporting ongoing and future transformation initiatives.
A key aspect of this role will be supporting marketing and analytics capabilities by ensuring that the data environment feeds accurate, timely data into marketing tools, customer relationship management (CRM) systems, and analytics platforms. By building robust data pipelines, the Data Engineer will enable better customer insights, support targeted marketing campaigns, and help inform key business decisions through data-driven analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support business analytics and transformation initiatives
* Ensure data ingestion, processing, and transformation processes are optimised for efficiency and reliability
* Work closely with marketing and analytics teams to feed accurate, timely data into marketing tools, CRM systems, and analytics platforms
* Build robust data infrastructure to support customer insights, targeted marketing campaigns, and data-driven decision-making
* Collaborate with business and technical teams to ensure data security, compliance, and scalability in alignment with the company’s digital transformation goals
* Participate in technical due diligence and governance activities
* Identify and implement improvements to existing data systems and workflows
Skills & Experience:
* Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a data engineering role or similar
* Proven track record of working with Azure data services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and Azure Databricks
* Experience in designing and implementing ETL/ELT pipelines for large-scale data processing
* Strong knowledge of data modelling, data warehousing, and database management
* Proficiency in SQL and Python for data engineering tasks
* Experience working with marketing and CRM data integrations is advantageous
* Ability to work cross-functionally with IT and business teams
* Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on scalability and performance optimisation
