We are looking to recruit an SC Cleared Data Engineer for a leading software & solutions organisation. The Data Engineer will rive data enablement that underpins cutting-edge AI technologies. This role is ideal for someone skilled in SQL database solutions, with an interest in supporting secure, high-assurance environments.
This is a hybrid role and you will be required to work on site in Crawley 3 days a week.
Due to the nature of the work valid SC Clearance is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Database Expertise: Leverage SQL knowledge to design, deploy, and support Postgres and CockroachDB solutions, optimizing for performance and scalability.
Query Optimization: Write and refine complex SQL queries to ensure high efficiency and performance across data solutions.
Deployment & Configuration: Implement best practices for database deployment, monitoring, and support to meet performance and security standards.
Containerization Knowledge: Apply experience with Docker to manage databases in containerized environments, sharing insights into unique aspects of containerized data.
Data Enablement in Secure Environments: Contribute to AI-enabling data initiatives within high-assurance sectors, ensuring compliance with security and assurance protocols.Essential Skills:
SQL Proficiency: Extensive experience with SQL databases, especially PostgreSQL and CockroachDB.
Database Deployment & Support: Skilled in deploying, configuring, and optimizing databases for performance.
NoSQL Insight: Basic knowledge of NoSQL databases to evaluate and compare solutions.
Containerization Familiarity: Hands-on experience with Docker, particularly for database management (desirable).
Secure Environment Experience: Background in defence, finance, or similarly regulated environments is beneficial.Technical Keywords:
