The award-winning independent Wych Elm is looking for a hands-on Head Chef to join our small, friendly and professional team. Up to max. 48 hours per week, with 2 days off a week, good work/life balance, work for an ambitious business in leafy Kingston upon Thames for up to £50,000 with potential for performance-related bonus.
Our current head chef is relocating to France, and we have an opening for the right person to work with enthusiastic and skilled hospitality professionals. This position requires excellent experience for a Head Chef leading from the front in the kitchen. You will be integral to your team and have a passion for fresh food.

Experience and Responsibilities

* Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food prep and cooking.
* Lead and manage kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen.
* Supervise food production processes to guarantee quality and presentation.
* Train and mentor team members to enhance culinary skills and hospitality service.
* Strong organizational skills and a passion for delivering high-quality dining experiences.
* Collaborate with management to develop menus and optimize kitchen workflow.
