Overall Role Purpose:
Assisting the Snr Sous Chef in the day to day running of the kitchen ensuring statutory obligations are met and kitchen profit achieved.
What Your Role will involve:
1. Working within the team to deliver excellent product quality.
2. Ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation.
3. Day to day running of different sections.
4. Closely following the menu specifications to ensure consistency of dishes.
5. Supervise junior members of the team along with an active role in their development.
6. Put forward any exciting ideas that may be implemented in increasing efficiency of the kitchen.
7. Contributing to the control of food costs.
8. Ensuring excellent Environmental Health and Food Hygiene standards are maintained.
As the ideal Junior Sous Chef you must have:
1. At least 2 years proven experience in a similar role.
2. Able to demonstrate and promote teamwork within the Kitchen and Front of House.
3. Presents a positive attitude to work and able to work in a busy Kitchen environment.
4. Compliant from both Food Hygiene and Food Safety perspective.
