Job Description
As a Sous Chef, you will collaborate with our culinary team to craft flavorful dishes that nourish both body and mind. You should have excellent presentation, organizational, and communication skills, along with a passion for food & service and enthusiasm.
* Assist the Head Chef in food preparation, production, and service.
* Ensure quality and presentation meet standards and expectations.
* Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring food safety and sanitation.
* Assist in menu planning considering dietary restrictions and seasonal ingredients.
* Oversee stock control and inventory management.
* Collaborate on special events and culinary initiatives.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment.
* Support administrative tasks like scheduling and budgeting.
* Stay updated on culinary trends and techniques.
* Demonstrate leadership, effective communication, and teamwork to foster a positive environment.
Qualifications
* Experience in a similar role within catering or educational settings preferred.
* Culinary degree or relevant certifications.
* Strong knowledge of food safety standards.
* Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
* Enthusiastic and well-organized team player.
