HR Business Partner (Generalist) is required for a global research technology company who is at the forefront of technology that helps to enhance people's daily lives across its products. Based in offices in Cambridge, this role is hybrid working 3 days on-site and 2 days from home.
As HR Business Partner, you will be part of a wider HR team, but this role is a stand-alone role when you're on-site, so you will be responsible for the full HR generalist lifecycle.
In reward for this position, you will be paid a salary up to £70,000 p.a. plus a great bonus and benefits package.
You will be responsible for providing a professional and comprehensive HR support service to approximately 45 people on-site. This is a very hands-on HR generalist position for an HR expert who has a passion for and experience in technology organisations (ideally SMEs or startups). Working closely with the Head of the department, you'll help them understand and effectively implement policies, procedures, and best practices.
The successful HR Business Partner (Generalist) will have/be:
1. CIPD Level 5 or higher.
2. Ideally degree educated.
3. Be available immediately or on a short notice period.
4. Experience within a tech or tech startup organisation.
5. Knowledge of visa and immigration requirements.
6. Be commercially minded with a practical hands-on approach.
Your duties as HR Business Partner include:
1. Manage the full HR cycle, including but not limited to managing onboarding, flexible work requests, maternity, paternity, and adoption requests.
2. Implement all required administration, policies, procedures, and communication for the employee lifecycle, including accurate and timely maintenance of all HR systems and records.
3. Liaise with senior stakeholders, providing guidance on a variety of HR issues.
4. Support managers, team leaders, and employees on HR policies and practices.
5. Work with the HR Business Partner to support operational activity.
6. Support line managers to develop knowledge and good performance management practice.
7. Maintain an awareness of current HR legislation and employment law.
8. Promote positive workplace employee relations and resolve issues when they arise.
9. Contribute to and support the alignment of activities, practices, and policies by providing local input and support in the delivery and implementation of key HR projects.
