We are excited to bring you on our journey, launching an expansive venue including multiple bars, food offerings, beach club and cabanas overlooking beautiful Brighton Beach.
About The Role:
Looking for a motivated and passionate leader to drive creativity, deliver fantastic food and develop a strong kitchen team in our newly refurbished sports bar. Reporting to the Executive Chef, you will provide seamless support and direction to the kitchen team and manage the day-to-day culinary operations. As head chef, you will be responsible for driving the financial performance of the kitchen including overseeing labour costs and implementing effective food cost control measures.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee kitchen operations, including inventory management, food preparation, and equipment maintenance
* Manage the kitchen functions and monitor day-to-day performance
* Ensure the production of quality products of a consistently high standard
* Manage a budget, payroll expectations and keep accurate records
* Ensure all food operations are compliant with relevant regulations
* Motivate and develop the team to create a memorable experience for all customers
* Aid in the proposal and development of menu plans
* Complete orders and oversee stock control
About You:
* Previous experience as a head chef in a high volume, fast paced establishment vital to the role
* 2 years experience in senior level role highly preferred
* Able to execute new menus, systems and procedures
* Demonstrated experience managing Cog’s (Food and Labour)
* Highly organised with the ability to supervise, support and lead the team in kitchen operations
* Strict compliance towards food safety
* Able to communicate effectively with management and staff
