Position Overview The International Lateral Attorney and Partner Recruitment Manager works under the supervision of the Senior Director of Attorney Recruitment, working closely with the Director of Lateral Partner Recruitment and U.S. based Lateral Recruitment team and in conjunction with other Talent personnel, Talent/Diversity Leads, Practice Group Leaders, and Directors of Global Practice Management to support all aspects of the Firm’s international lateral recruitment efforts. Duties and Responsibilities Primary Collaborate with international Practice Group Leaders, firm leadership, and other key stakeholders to understand hiring needs and priorities for associate and partner recruitment, and to ensure alignment of recruitment efforts with strategic goals. Identify and cultivate relationships with potential lateral partner and associate candidates through proactive outreach, networking, and participation in industry events and conferences. Manage the full lifecycle of the lateral partner and associate recruitment processes. Maintain candidate information and interview processes in the Firm’s recruiting tracking systems. Draft associate job postings, schedule lateral interviews, and collect and distribute interviewer and candidate feedback. Work with the Diversity Equity & Inclusion teams to advance the lateral hiring goals of the international offices and identify and coordinate opportunities to post lateral associate positions in a variety of sources, including with DE&I-related organizations. Establish and maintain positive relationships with recruiters, vendors, lawyers, lateral candidates, and firm personnel Serve as the primary point of contact and liaison for international lateral candidates, providing guidance and support throughout the recruitment process and facilitating a positive candidate experience. Conduct thorough due diligence process on potential lateral partners, including assessing their practice strengths, client relationships, business development capabilities, and cultural fit with the firm. Work with the Director of Lateral Partner Recruitment to support U.S. lateral partner and counsel hiring efforts, including but not limited to generating candidate packs, reviewing Lateral Partner Questionnaires (LPQs), coordinating market research information reports, data entry, and scheduling candidate interviews, as needed. Work closely with the firm's marketing and business development teams to develop targeted international marketing materials and messaging to attract and engage lateral partner candidates. Collaborate with Human Resources and Attorney Development to facilitate hiring, onboarding and integration activities for all lateral hires. Maintain the International Attorney Recruitment preferred recruiter list Monitor and track associate and partner compensation data across international markets and share with central Talent team, local HR Manager, and the Senior Director of International Operations Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to inform recruitment strategies and ensure the firm remains competitive in attracting top international legal talent. Secondary Provide back-up support to International Early Talent team, as needed Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned Working Conditions Ability to travel occasionally and work late hours Job is subject to time pressures and constraints Minimum Qualification Education\: Bachelor’s Degree required; master’s degree or JD is a plus. Experience\: Six years of experience in legal recruiting, with a focus on lateral recruitment preferred. Proven track record of success in identifying, attracting, and closing lateral candidates in a law firm or legal services environment. Special Knowledge\: Strong understanding of the legal industry, including key practice areas, market dynamics, and competitive landscape. Familiarity with legal recruiting best practices, including sourcing strategies, candidate assessment methods, and offer negotiation techniques. Knowledge of professional networking platforms and tools used for legal recruitment, such as LinkedIn, legal industry publications, and job boards. Knowledge of bar licensing rules and requirements across jurisdictions preferred. Technical Skills\: Knowledge of Firm computer software (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint & Excel); experience with recruiting and HR management systems preferred (viGlobal, Oracle, Leopard List). Attributes\: Strong interpersonal, sales and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish rapport and credibility with senior-level legal professionals. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate the firm's value proposition and engage candidates effectively. Detail orientated, strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to develop and execute recruitment strategies that align with firm objectives. Proactive and resourceful with a high level of initiative and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Ability to work with a team of highly skilled professionals in situations that require diplomacy and confidentiality.
