I’m working in partnership with an award winning IP team that is seeking an experienced Trade Mark Records Manager to join their team in London. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape and develop the trade mark records function within a highly respected firm.

As a Trade Mark Records Manager, you will play a key role in driving efficiency and improving operational procedures across the trade mark department. You’ll also have the chance to grow and develop the existing team, providing training and development to staff while ensuring compliance with trade mark formalities. This is a pivotal position where your leadership and expertise will directly impact the success of the team and the overall department.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Managing and expanding the trade mark records team
2. Supervising inbox management, docketing, and recording deadlines
3. Streamlining workflows and improving current practices
4. Keeping the team updated on legal and procedural changes in trade mark law
5. Providing training and mentorship to records staff and paralegals
6. Overseeing the creation of bespoke trade mark records reports
7. Collaborating with software providers for troubleshooting and system updates
What we’re looking for:
1. At least 5 years’ experience in trade mark formalities, with management responsibilities
2. Strong leadership and communication skills
3. Experience with trade mark records management systems (Inprotech knowledge is desirable)
4. A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail
