We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic sushi chef with a very positive attitude who can lead the team and work competently in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate should have good experience in kitchen management and preparation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Motivate and create a positive environment for our team and customers.
2. Ensure the restaurant’s Food Hygiene and Health and Safety procedures are strictly followed.
3. Accurately manage kitchen rotas and food costs according to company budgets.
4. Purchase and examine ingredients from suppliers to ensure quality.
5. Plan menu and prepare Sushi, Sashimi, and other Japanese dishes.
6. Supervise the preparation of dishes and ensure our work is always delivered to the highest standard.
7. Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
Abilities/Skills/Knowledge Required
1. Have a keen interest in Japanese food and culture.
2. Have good experience in kitchen management and sushi preparation.
3. Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
4. Be able to engage with guests and build friendly rapport.
