Head Chef opportunity - 4* Best Western Plus White Horse Hotel The Property is an established 4* Hotel with excellent reputation which has won awards for its restaurant. The role is available immediately and you will be overseeing a team of experienced chefs many of whom have been with the company for a number of years. We have a bar, restaurant, meeting and function rooms and also offer outside catering. As Head Chef you are responsible for all aspects of managing the kitchen areas and personnel, ensuring the quality preparation of all menu items to the highest standards Co-ordinate roster scheduling, labour costs, assist with recruitment and oversee staff productivity and performance Develop and cost seasonal menus that incorporate local ingredients to maintain our Legenderry Food status and Taste of Ulster awards. Hands on and enjoys working in a fast paced environment and ability to control service from the front to ensure maximum results and guest satisfaction Ability to prioritise, organise and delegate work assignments and to oversee staff performance with prompt follow up where required To promote positive work relationships with suppliers, service personnel and other departments Ensure that HACCP is implemented and documented efficiently, ensuring that all standards are maintained, reduce food and energy wastage in the Kitchens To help develop a team spirit amongst all the kitchen staff - Chefs and Kitchen Porter team to maintain a cohesive team. Creativity and superior culinary skills to create exceptional dishes for our menus. Food Hygiene, Allergen and HACCP certification.
