We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our amazing team. In this position, you will play a key role in supporting all aspects of the employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to performance management and employee relations. You will partner with various departments within the company to ensure a smooth and efficient HR experience for all employees.
The HR Generalist will serve as the main point of contact for employee concerns and manage the full employee lifecycle. Compliance with employment laws, data analysis, organizational design, and fostering a positive work culture are also key responsibilities. Additionally, you will be responsible for new HR projects, sick management, support audits, assist with budget creation, Payroll back-up and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
* Serve as a point of contact for employees, addressing their HR needs, concerns, and inquiries.
* Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, talent development, and offboarding processes.
* Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, and update policies and procedures as needed.
* Analyze HR data and metrics to identify trends and provide recommendations for improvement.
* Support organizational design and workforce planning efforts to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
* Foster a positive work culture and employee engagement through various initiatives and programs.
* Manage HR projects, such as the implementation of new HR systems or the development of employee programs.
* Oversee sick management processes, including tracking and monitoring employee absences and coordinating benefits and accommodations such as occupational health services.
* Provide support during HR & Financial audits, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
* Assist with the creation of the budget and monitoring the payroll expenses.
* Develop and implement HR programs and initiatives, training (creation) and development, employee recognition and retention programs.
* Stay up to date on employment laws and regulations and ensure compliance.
* Provide support and guidance to managers on HR-related matters.
* Maintain a positive and professional work environment.
Other Duties
* Serve as a backup for payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee compensation and maintain accurate employee records.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address organizational challenges and drive positive change.
* Employees can be asked to perform other duties that are reasonable within the area of expertise.
Required Skills/Abilities
* Fluent in English, Dutch is a plus.
* Being structured and precise.
* Project Management.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to advise different layers in the organization.
Required Education and Experience
* 5+ years’ experience in HR.
* Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practices.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with HRIS (Human Resource Information System) is a plus.
* A passion for building positive relationships and fostering a strong company culture.
* Knowledge of HR Project Management.
* Knowledge of Payroll systems.
