We are looking for an experienced chef to take over the Sous Chef role and support the Head Chef and friendly kitchen at The Bull and Dog, Coton, Shropshire (between Whitchurch and Wem).
The candidate must have experience of preparing and cooking fresh food to a high standard, be well motivated, and get on well with others. A good sense of humour is essential!
We are looking for someone to assist the team and take responsibility for preparing and cooking good quality food in a busy environment, whilst maintaining a high standard of food hygiene.
Our ever-changing menu has a range of pub classics as well as a mix of dishes influenced from around the world. We encourage all the chefs to get involved in developing the menu and improving the business going forwards.
Sketchydog started over 14 years ago in 2008 with our first pub The Lowfield Inn in Marton. Since then we have grown to 4 pubs all located along the Shropshire/North Wales border. All of our pubs pride themselves on being great local pubs offering excellent beer, wine, and food to a wide market. The Bull and Dog was our 3rd pub, opening in Feb 2017, and is situated in the village of Coton, near Wem. It is a cosy 18th-century village pub which is very popular and has a strong local following.
