The Role We are now recruiting for a Sales Executive to join our Timber Sales Team at Stamco Hoppings Hastings. Provide a timely, friendly and dependable service of timber products to customers from the sales office over the phone, ensuring that customer expectations are not just met but exceeded whilst at the same time optimising contribution to sales, margin and gross profit. The Requirements Work effectively as part of a team promoting the company’s vision, values and aspirations at all times. Establish strong commercial relations with existing customers and new business to generate revenue and exceed sales and profit targets. Establish strong relationships with colleagues to maximise customer service and efficiency. Support Area Sales Executives in processing orders, quotations and dealing with general customer enquiries by email and telephone. Use initiative to identify and resolve customer / product problems or issues. Through initiative and ideas, proactively identify new sales opportunities with new and existing customers to assist the maximising of sales and margin. Liaise with suppliers where necessary. Work cooperatively with colleagues in operations at all sites to maximise customer service. Identify potential issues with stock availability and inform the operations team. Proactively contact customers and ASEs to follow up enquiries and orders. Reactively deal with incoming customer enquiries and orders. Required Skill Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate at all levels. Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Competent use of Outlook and Excel for customer communications and pricing. Accurate & Timely administration of quotes, orders and customers enquiries/queries. Appropriate responsiveness to requests from colleagues and customers in regard to sales. A productive member of the sales team in terms of both sales volume and quantity of quotes/orders processed.
