Sous Chef
Pertemps are currently recruiting for a Sous Chef to join a leading Catering business based in Andover. This is a full-time, permanent position.
Responsibilities as a Sous Chef:
1. Responsible for the whole kitchen team, ensuring new starters are fully onboarded and trained.
2. Working closely with the Head Chef to ensure the team has a full understanding of HACCP and SALSA standards, ensuring that the 5-star hygiene rating is maintained.
3. Overall responsibility for ensuring that food safety practices are observed by self and all team members.
4. Ensuring the safe handling and storing of all food items.
5. Support the Head Chef with the creation of new menus.
6. Create, communicate, and maintain the food specifications ensuring they meet the appropriate standards whilst strictly following the company specifications.
7. Cover Head Chef duties as and when required.
8. Ensure self and team provide the highest level of customer service at all times.
9. Oversee stock control and ordering of sufficient stock.
Requirements:
1. Previous experience as a Sous Chef
2. Experience leading a team
3. Excellent level of English
4. HACCP Level 2 trained is advantageous
5. Minimum of Level 2 Food & Hygiene
6. Allergen certification
7. First Aider at work certification
This Sous Chef position is paying £37,000 depending on experience. You will be required to work 40 hours per week, but the hours do vary, either working 8am - 4.30pm or 10.30am - 7pm working against a rota.
