We are seeking an experienced Learning and Development (L&D) Manager to join our People & Culture team. In partnership with the Chief People and Culture Officer, you will develop and assume ongoing ownership of a high-impact learning framework for the global business. Operationally, you will lead the design, development and implementation of learning initiatives across the organisation. This new role is responsible for conducting learning needs analyses, developing and curating learning content, facilitating learning sessions, and evaluating program effectiveness to ensure alignment with business objectives. You’ll play a key role in shaping our learning culture, delivering on a learning agenda that directly impacts organisational capability and the growth of our employees by ensuring they have the skills and capabilities required to perform effectively and grow their careers.
What you do
Learning Needs Analysis & Strategy
* Develop and execute a scalable L&D framework that aligns with business objectives.
* Conduct learning needs analyses to identify skill gaps and development needs across the organisation.
* Build role-specific training pathways / capability maps for key business areas identified in the learning needs analyses.
* Develop recommendations for learning programs and prioritise them in line with business requirements and strategic goals.
* Partner with key stakeholders to align learning initiatives with workforce capability needs and organisational objectives.
Learning Program Development & Delivery
* Design, develop, and/or curate learning content, including e-learning, micro-learning, workshops, and blended learning programs to address identified learning needs.
* Develop learning briefs for external training providers and collaborate with them to tailor training to organisational requirements.
* Facilitate engaging training sessions and coaching programs to support employee growth and development.
* Act as an internal consultant, able to develop bespoke learning interventions in response to specific learning needs.
Instructional Design & Digital Learning
* Apply instructional design principles to create engaging and effective learning experiences.
* Utilise a range of learning design tools to develop digital learning content, including e-learning modules, videos, and interactive learning materials.
* Ensure learning solutions are accessible, targeted and aligned with best practices in adult learning and instructional design.
* Implement evaluation strategies to measure the effectiveness and return on investment (ROI) of learning programs.
* Collect and analyse feedback to refine learning initiatives and enhance participant experience.
* Stay updated on emerging trends in learning and development, ensuring best practices are incorporated into the organisation’s learning strategy.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
* Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and drive learning initiatives.
* Provide expert advice on learning and development best practices to managers and employees.
* Develop clear, high-quality communications and reports to support learning initiatives and program effectiveness.
Qualifications
What you bring
* Tertiary qualifications in Education, Training, Organisational Development, Human Resources, or a related field.
* Minimum of 10 years of experience in training and development.
* Certification in coaching, facilitation, or instructional design is an advantage.
* Certification in a variety of development and diagnostic tools such as 360 and psychometric tools is also an advantage.
* Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning development tools (e.g., Articulate, Adobe Captivate, or similar).
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
* Extensive organisational and strategic project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks and deadlines.
* Proven ability to work effectively with diverse teams, build positive relationships, and influence senior stakeholders.
* Proactive problem solver with strong analytical skills and a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.
* Demonstrated experience in leading large-scale training initiatives in a global, cross-cultural environment.
* Experience leading and engaging a team.
* Flexibility to work across timezones is a requirement for this role.
