We are looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join our fine dining restaurant in St Andrews. We seek someone with a passion for food and experience in a similar role.
The restaurant hosts a tasting menu with a luxury wine list and unique bar selection in an upbeat atmosphere. The menu constantly evolves, reflecting the seasons and showcasing Scotland’s best resources. It is a great opportunity to be involved in a fantastic team and bring something exciting to the town.
About the Role
1. Responsibility for assisting the Head Chef with the management of the entire kitchen operation.
2. Maintaining consistently high standards of produce.
3. Training of junior members of staff.
4. Daily stock control ordering. Identify & source local produce.
5. Assist in the design of new dishes.
6. Input into all areas of kitchen management including all KPI targets such as GP %, environmental health issues, etc.
The ideal Sous Chef will:
1. Have experience in a similar sous chef role.
2. Have experience in a like-for-like fine dining position in a similarly high-quality operation.
3. Possess a passion and knowledge for food.
4. Be driven and focused on first-class standards across every aspect of the operation.
5. Have shown loyalty and longevity throughout their career.
6. Have excellent planning and organisational skills.
7. Have excellent personal presentation and be consummately professional at all times.

Salary OTE: The rate of salary is on OTE with a cap at £42,000.
