The Service Desk provides a single point of contact for IT support and is the front line and face of technology, interacting and supporting colleagues and staff daily.
As a valued member of the Service Desk, your responsibilities will include providing exceptional customer services, alongside technical IT and application support to provide a high first call resolution, achieving customer satisfaction with adherence to SLA’s and KPI’s.
Working as part of a small busy team, you will be encouraged to bring innovative ideas to the table in ways to improve our efficiency and effectiveness, along with progressing knowledge and skills to keep up to date with new processes, procedures, and developments.
We are looking for someone who has an interest in IT and work experience in an IT-related field or progressed through our Business and Digital modern apprenticeship program and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with a desire to learn and grow as a professional in IT. You will gain exposure to both IT system administration and application support elements; this role is diverse and offers a fantastic opportunity for new experiences and follow-on progression.
The positions are based in Civic Square, Motherwell. North Lanarkshire Council operate a hybrid working model where you will work in the office five out of ten days, with the rest of time working from home. This role will be on a shift basis within the hours of - Monday to Friday. There is also a requirement to participate in a standby rota once every five to seven weeks, to support essential services which operates 18.00 - 08.00 Mon-Fri & all-day Sat-Sun which attracts additional payments.
