This includes a rich library of more than 6,000 feature films and 170,000 television episodes, including current and classic titles, non-scripted programming, sports, news, long-form and short-form programming, and locally produced content from around the world.
Meanwhile, our UPHE global home entertainment business encompasses both digital and physical formats and spans content including theatrical titles from Universal Pictures, Focus Features, and NBCUniversal’s television properties, as well as select third party production partners, including Paramount Home Entertainment, eOne, Funimation and Shout! Factory, among others.
Job Description
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Director, Human Resources will work within NBCUniversal’s Global TV Distribution and Home Entertainment businesses and will be responsible for partnering with business leaders in across the combined EMEA and APAC regions on strategic and operational HR activities, servicing employees located in 15 offices across 11 different countries. The role will include direct line management of a Human Resources Coordinator also based in the UK. The team will be responsible for driving and executing the people agenda in the UK and will collaborate closely with HR Partners in-region to execute country-specific people priorities and activations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Play a key role in the development and execution of the people & organisation agenda for the EMEA and APAC regions.
* Execute the people agenda in the UK and communicate priorities to HR partners in-region so that they execute in their respective countries.
* Provide operational HR support for the business in partnership with HR functional experts and specialists as required.
* Coach, develop and challenge the management teams on the execution of growth plans and people leadership.
* Partner with Talent Acquisition and Talent Development on identification, selection and retention of world-class talent.
* Provide leadership, direction and expertise for the full scope of HR functions including employee relations, compensation & benefits, employee engagement, organisational design and change management.
* Manage the annual salary review process, performance management cycle and talent planning processes in the UK, and communicate business approach to our in-region HR counterparts so that they execute accordingly in countries.
* Manage all on-boarding, retention, development and engagement activities.
* Advise and assist management on strategic actions in response to employee opinion survey results.
* Lead on complex ER cases, providing clear and directive actions to resolve situations in a timely manner.
* Track and identify trends with ER cases and create strategies to avoid repeat situations and provide leaders with a toolkit to deliver changes.
* Partner with Employment Law and other internal HR partners to resolve situations.
* Influence managers and leaders to comply with policy and provide a fair and equitable work environment.
* Drive engagement with our evolving suite of initiatives focused on creating a diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace.
* Drive DEI strategies in partnership with the DEI Director based in the UK and in alignment with DEI global strategies.
Qualifications
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* You will be a HR Director or similar level with experience of building trusted relationships with Executives.
* You will be able to demonstrate leadership competence in driving culture change, coaching and development.
* Experience of organisational design and execution of change.
* You will have experience in managing HR within a fast-paced dynamic & creative environment across multiple geographical regions.
* Exceptional employment law knowledge and demonstrated understanding of related nuance and complexity, including familiarity with multiple international jurisdictions.
* You will have experience in creating and executing HR strategies along with tactical priorities.
* You must be able to work independently in a fast-paced creative environment and meet tight deadlines.
* You will be able to engage, influence and develop strong relationships within a diverse business environment.
* Proven experience in navigating a heavily matrixed organization through effective collaboration and effective communication with key stakeholders and partners.
* Able to multi-task and equipped with a solutions orientation, with a track record of delivering on and resolving complex matters in a timely and efficient way.
* You’ll consider attention to detail one of your strengths, working with a methodical approach, and prioritising your workload with instinctive organizational and time management skills.
* Ability to communicate across all levels and flex your style in various scenarios.
* You’re able to really demonstrate the ‘human’ in human resources, understanding your groups and identifying creative ways in which to engage them in all people-related activity.
