Join our team as a Learning & Development Specialist at Tewkesbury Park, a leading hotel, golf & health resort.
As a passionate hospitality operator, you'll design & implement employee learning & development strategies to drive operational improvement, professionalism, employee fulfillment, retention, & career progression.
Key responsibilities include:
* Helping to identify & train new talent, working with heads of department to find & inspire new team members.
* Identifying & addressing training needs through company-wide learning & skills analysis, designing & facilitating training programs.
* Carrying out regular L&D reviews through individual team member reviews, guest feedback, skills tests, & on-the-floor observations.
* Collaborating with suppliers & external organisations for specialised learning, with accreditation for high-potential team members.
* Networking across local schools, colleges & universities to promote our industry, & providing contra visits with other businesses to increase industry knowledge.
* Working with the finance & admin team to ensure all staff administration is up to date, advising on regulatory changes impacting training requirements.
* Developing a budget for learning & development in collaboration with the hotel manager.
Our ideal candidate will have/be:
* An experienced hospitality operator with a passion for exceptional customer service & team development.
* Experience in identifying learning needs, taking these through to training design, delivery, & ongoing review & monitoring.
* Creative & innovative in your approach to problem-solving & learning solution creation.
* Proven experience in delivering confident, engaging, in-person hospitality training.
* Strong communication skills & confidence in networking outside the business when required.
* Attention to detail & good organisation skills are crucial.
* Ideally, have a recognised L&D specific qualification/more general HR qualification with L&D elements.
Working arrangements:
* Full or part-time, on-site role (min 24, max 40 hours per week), including some weekend & evening work as required.
* Salary: £40k per annum, pro rata if part-time.
