Hours of work: 48 hours per week
Salary: £14.50 per hour - working shifts; you must also be available to work weekends and bank holidays.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Supreme Guarding Services Ltd is an S.I.A Approved contractor which specialises in the provision of security solutions, facilities management & services, catering, and property management within the UK.
The role involves managing the food preparation process and restaurant activities for a hotel, ensuring that food is up to standard for customers. Duties include designing menus, managing the kitchen team, ensuring dishes meet quality standards, and overseeing restaurant activities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
You will report to the Hotel Cluster Manager and will have a hands-on role that includes:
* Ensure all kitchen staff adhere to the “Food Safety Management System' (FSMS) based on the principles of HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point).
* Stay up to date with culinary trends and kitchen processes, ensuring that the food provided meets all NHS Eatwell standards and responds to service user’s cultural and dietary requirements.
* Deal with suppliers to ensure quality goods are supplied.
* Manage inventory and order stock in line with company processes.
* Oversee maintenance of kitchen equipment and organise repairs when needed.
* Conduct staff training and development, handle staff issues, and take disciplinary action when necessary.
* Be involved in hiring and building your own kitchen team.
* Ensure compliance with food hygiene regulations and maintain records for audit purposes.
* Address guest comments and complaints, ensuring feedback is utilised constructively.

Role Criteria
* A minimum of 1 year experience working in a similar role.
* Extensive experience in a high-volume restaurant.
* An extensive array of culinary skills and knowledge.
* Food Hygiene level 3 as a minimum.
* Experience managing and working with a diverse team.
* High standards for producing quality fresh food.
* Excellent leadership skills.
