The Fear X Loathing team are expanding We have a fantastic opportunity available for a Head Chef. WHO ARE WE? Opportunities don't get more exciting than this one We are a new, independent and exciting food entity serving freshly made beef and chicken burgers in toasted brioche buns with a selection of accompaniments, home-made sauces and jams. Situated on West Street (with the odd pop up here and there) we can be busier than a one-toothed man in a corn-on-the-cob eating contest whilst delighting every customer in our vibrant atmosphere. THE JOB ROLE Quick on the grill, the head chef will be responsible for controlling the open plan kitchen. At Fear X Loathing, every plate of food is masterpiece, a work of art if you will. If you have the attention to detail, can ensure that food is cooked to the highest of standards each and every time and can ensure every plate of food leaves the customer starry eyed then this is most certainly the job for youthen this is the job for you. You must also ensure that food is made and delivered both hygienically and safely so food safety and hygiene certificates will be beneficial. You must be passionate about great quality food, the hospitality industry, have working knowledge in a kitchen environment and you will need to have a flexible approach as work is available week days, evening and weekends. ATTRIBUTES You do not need to have held a head chef position previously but naturally, experience in the kitchen essential. You must be a happy, friendly, outgoing person. How we deal with customers and colleagues sets us apart, so your ability to fit into a team is imperative. Finally, your attention to detail and ability to not only take direction but to offer a creative input will be key.
