Jang, located in the Mezzanine of the iconic Royal
Exchange, is seeking dedicated and talented back-of-house professionals to join
our family as a Sous Chef.
About the Role
We're looking for chefs who are passionate about creating exceptional dishes and thrive in a dynamic kitchen environment. Knowledge of Korean and European cuisine is essential. If you’re enthusiastic, driven, and have a can-do attitude, we’d love to hear from you.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Bring
experience from a similar role, especially in an
Asian cuisine setting. Knowledge of sushi preparation is an advantage but
not required.
* Support
the Head Chef in the daily operations of the
kitchen, ensuring smooth, efficient service.
* Be
motivated, proactive, and enthusiastic about high-quality culinary
experiences.
* Work
well in a team, fostering a collaborative kitchen
environment.
* Be
committed to creating outstanding, sustainable dishes that uphold
our standards.
* Know
Health & Safety practices and be able to
communicate them effectively to the team.
* Have
a strong interest or background in Korean and Japanese cuisine.
* Possess
the legal right to work in the UK.
