What is the scope of this role?
The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for providing a full range of strategic HR support for assigned business groups across the EMEA region.
Responsibilities
* Act as the primary HR liaison for designated business units and/or departments.
* Collaborate with business leaders and the broader HR team to develop and execute HR talent strategies that support the organization’s objectives.
* Provide guidance and advocacy on critical people matters.
* Serve as a trusted advisor and coach to leadership.
* Drive succession planning and talent development efforts to ensure a sustainable talent pipeline and robust retention strategies.
* Partner with business leaders to identify key talent and assess development needs and collaborate with the talent management team to implement initiatives that promote internal career growth.
* Build and maintain a positive working environment by addressing employee concerns with empathy and fairness.
* Manage complex employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions, while maintaining confidentiality and legal compliance.
* Provide coaching to managers on performance management, employee development, and employee engagement strategies.
* Collaborate with compensation and benefits team to ensure competitive, fair, and equitable pay practices that align with industry benchmarks and internal equity.
* Guide compensation-related decisions, including salary adjustments, promotions, and pay equity analyses.
* Ensure compliance with local, state and federal labor laws, as well as company policies and industry regulations.
* Stay informed of evolving HR laws and industry trends, making recommendations to update internal policies as needed.
* Educate employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practices through ongoing training and communication.
Experience and Requirements:
* A minimum of 6-10 years of experience in HR required, international HR exposure is a plus.
* Must have experience working in the IT/Technology industry.
* Experience working across the EMEA region.
* Working knowledge of HR related laws/regulations.
* Advanced computer literacy with specific proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Demonstrated ability to research and analyze various types of data information.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to establish credibility with managers and employees at all levels.
* Self-motivated with the ability to operate independently, work proactively, and to achieve results without close supervision.
* Demonstrated practical, hands-on, “can-do” approach, and the ability to work efficiently and creatively.
* Ability to multitask, manage multiple and simultaneous priorities, and prioritize a heavy workload in a fast paced, dynamic environment is required.
* Proven organizational skills and experience leading small-scale projects.
* Proactive approach towards improving processes and systems.
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
* Ability to exercise sound judgment, strong negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
* Ability to identify and handle priority and/or sensitive issues with discretion and a commitment to confidentiality.
* Ability to make large group presentations and consult effectively one-on-one.
* Need to be able to travel to our Cambridge office as and when needed.
Education:
* A degree in a related field.
