Are you interested in a secondment opportunity as Assistant Recruitment Manager?
We are offering a 6-month secondment opportunity for a motivated individual who has experience managing staff and understands end-to-end recruitment processes.
You will have full line management responsibility for all members of the recruitment team, ensuring workloads are managed, monitoring KPIs and using these as a metric for improvement to the overall recruitment process, highlighting key changes in employment law to the team, and adjusting processes where necessary and provide support for those who you manage, to build a motivated and high performing team.
You will also support hiring managers across the organisation to enable them to undertake the recruitment process quickly and efficiently, such as hosting the recruitment manager's drop-in session or delivering training on areas of the process.
You will work closely with the Recruitment Manager to ensure the overall recruitment strategy is adhered to progress is made regarding annual objectives, and ensure the end-to-end process is continuously reviewed to seek out improvements.
Main duties of the job
1. Identification of multiple workstreams for candidate attraction with a focus on an overall reduction of vacancies across the trust, working with hiring managers to understand which platforms would be most effective to enable maximum impact on vacancy reduction
2. Key contact for the organisation of recruitment open days, assessment centres, and interview processes, working across the wider NHS system to enable KMPT to be aligned effectively with local counterparts, whilst delivering a consistent service during these events.
3. Ensure the team is working in line with Employment Law, NHS Employer, Home Office, and KMPT policy guidelines, reviewing these regularly and adjusting processes where necessary.
4. Provide the recruitment team with general support and motivation, facilitating any development required to enable the team to answer queries and manage the end-to-end recruitment process effectively and consistently.
5. Development and redevelopment of Standard Operating Procedures, reviewing regularly so that these are kept up to date, are relevant, and fit for purpose
6. Primary point of contact for recruitment compliance queries, considering management requests and whether these can be facilitated whilst remaining aligned to employment and NHS guidelines.

The team is currently based at home for 80% of the working week, with 20% being spent on-site in Canterbury, in accordance with our current hybrid working policy.
