Brief Description
This is an exciting opportunity to create impactful learning experiences in Milton Keynes or London.
Main Responsibilities
1. Analyse training, assessment, and assurance requirements using approved Network Rail tools and practices to create innovative and cost-effective training solutions that meet prevailing organisational imperatives and learner needs.
2. Provide instructional design expertise for the analysis, design and implementation of learning and assurance solutions to agreed time, budget, and quality standards, for use in online, virtual, blended, or face-to-face events.
3. Lead training design workshops to agree design specifications, technical requirements, and deliverables.
4. Interface professionally, and communicate project progress as required, to the relevant Learning Architect, or other personnel within Network Rail Training, and subject matter experts as appropriate.
5. Manage and assure the work of training design suppliers for time, cost, and quality.
6. Continuously review the effectiveness of analysis and design activities to identify opportunities to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
7. Proactively research new training delivery methodologies and demonstrate application of this knowledge when evaluating training design options.
Essential
1. Demonstrable experience in designing, developing, and implementing creative, innovative, and effective learning and development solutions.
2. Experience of successful customer/stakeholder relationship management skills.
3. Good organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
4. Demonstrate personal accountability when striving for results.
5. Assess and challenge risky or unsafe actions, or poor behaviours of others.
6. Ability to travel across Great Britain to meet and discuss with customers their requirements.
Desirable
1. A learning and development qualification (e.g., CIPD).
2. A relevant project management qualification (e.g., APM).
3. Knowledge of the railway industry or a related engineering discipline.
