Payroll & HR Generalist

Job Summary
As a Payroll & HR Generalist you will be the key point of contact for all matters relating to payroll and benefits such as private healthcare and retirement funds long with ER related matters in all our global locations; APAC, US and EMEA.
What you will do
* Ensure the efficient and effective administration of the payroll function monthly across the company entities and all global payrolls (UK, US, Romania, Malaysia, India, Switzerland, Australia, The Philippines, Singapore and consultants) to ensure all team members are paid correctly and on time
* Collaborate with third-party payroll bureaus on a timely basis to provide the information needed accurately based on the Payroll Calendar deadlines
* Control the employment tax presentations including but not limited to P11D, P60s, W2s, End of tax year process across all locations
* Review the individual payrolls each month and consolidate/post the relevant journals into the Finance system
* Monthly/Yearly Payroll reconciliations. This will include ensuring we are audit ready and compliant
* Support the annual pay review process for the whole business in partnership with the People and Talent team
* Manage all team member benefit programs, such as private healthcare, dental and vision cover, including enrolments, terminations, and renewals and ensure trends and best practice is adhered to
* Implement and maintain payroll best practices to improve efficiency
* Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices and regulatory payroll/retirement fund changes
* Assess training needs of team members including managing the Apprenticeship Levy (UK only)
* Support the Global P&T Manager and Director of P&T with ER cases in all locations along with policy reviews and implementation
* Write and deliver training sessions for managers on processes such as onboarding, Probationary reviews, performance management etc
* Keep up to date with the latest HR/People and Talent trends and practices and Employment Law updates
* Support with all administration with the Global P&T Team; drafting letters, forms etc as well as adhoc projects and recruitment where needed
Who you are
* Proven experience in managing global payrolls in at least two regions (US/UK/APAC)
* Proven experience in administering company benefits and managing third party vendors in the UK and preferably Global locations
* Experience in a large payroll bureau (such as ADP) with multi-location, multi-payroll, multi-entity interfaces will be a plus
* An understanding of all or one of the following countries' tax legislations; UK, Singapore, US and Malaysia
* 1-2 years of experience in Payroll/HR (essential)
* Bachelor's degree in human resources or related (desired)
* Exposure to labour law and employment equity regulations (desired)
* IT and data analysis skills, including extensive use of Excel.
* Experience with HRIS system, BambooHR would be a plus
* Ability to effectively plan, set priorities, and manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to research information and analyse data to arrive at valid conclusions, recommendations, and action plans
* Ability to represent the company effectively in various settings with a demonstrated understanding and appreciation for diverse cultures
* Outstanding interpersonal and collaboration skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation
* Experience in managing ER cases, drafting and implementing policies and procedures
* Strong work ethic, ability to adapt to rapidly changing environment
* Innovative, self-starter, enjoys thinking of new ways to get the job done
* Be a holder of valid documents with permission to work in the UK
What else do you need to know
This role sits within the People and Talent team reporting directly to the Director of People and Talent, UK based. The role will work alongside the People and Talent team (UK and US based) and the Global Finance team.
