HSEQ & Training Manager
Location: Manchester
Hours: 40 hours/week, Monday – Friday

Our client is a leading UK smart meter installation company, trusted by top energy suppliers to deliver outstanding service. They are seeking an experienced HSEQ & Training Manager to join their team and report to the Quality Assurance and Senior Compliance Manager. This role combines Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) management with overseeing their industry-leading training academy.
Key Responsibilities
HSEQ Management:
* Develop, implement, and maintain HSEQ systems in line with company policies.
* Review and update Health & Safety policies, objectives, and programmes.
* Conduct risk assessments and ensure effective communication across teams.
* Investigate accidents, perform root cause analyses, and ensure RIDDOR compliance.
* Deliver safety bulletins, toolbox talks, and promote HSEQ best practices.
* Stay up to date with H&S legislation, implementing necessary changes.
Training Management:
* Oversee the training academy and ensure resources meet business needs.
* Maintain accreditations with industry awarding bodies.
* Design and deliver training materials, courses, and evaluation criteria.
* Manage operative training journeys, including logistics.
* Coordinate internal H&S training to ensure compliance across the workforce.
Continuous Improvement:
* Identify and implement HSEQ and training process improvements.
* Integrate lessons learned into operational best practices.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Strong expertise in the gas and electric metering industry.
* Management and training experience.
* IQA and IOSH/NEBOSH accreditation.
* Qualified in 3 Phase/Medium pressure metering.
Desirable:
* HSEQ management experience.
* Knowledge of CT metering, renewables, solar, or EV systems.
* Proven track record in achieving industry accreditations.
* Experience developing training programmes and managing training centres.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts. No weekend work required
