Job Description:
As an Exhibition Sales Manager at Blueprint Event Company, you will play a vital role in driving the commercial success of our international B2B events, connecting top-tier companies in the manufacturing and engineering sectors. This is a sales-focused position that blends strategy, outreach, relationship-building, and travel.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead Generation & Prospecting
* Build and maintain a high-quality pipeline of leads using industry research, databases, referrals, and networking.
* Identify and qualify companies that align with event profiles and objectives.
* Sales Outreach & Pitching
* Introduce and pitch our exhibitions to senior decision-makers, from SME owners to C-suite executives at multinational firms.
* Execute outbound sales strategies via cold calling, email, LinkedIn, and video outreach.
* Sales Funnel Management
* Own the full sales cycle: from first contact and objection handling to closing deals and post-sale handover.
* Keep prospects engaged with tailored communication and timely follow-ups.
* CRM & Reporting
* Maintain accurate records of interactions and deal stages in Salesforce CRM.
* Regularly update forecasts, activity logs, and performance metrics.
* Client Relationship Development
* Establish trust and credibility with prospects and clients, ensuring a smooth onboarding process.
* Act as a consultant to help businesses understand how our events meet their growth goals.
* Travel & Face-to-Face Engagement
* Attend third-party industry events and exhibitions across the USA, Middle East, and Europe to network and close deals in person.
* Represent Blueprint with professionalism, cultural sensitivity, and deep knowledge of our event brands.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Work closely with marketing, operations, and content teams to align sales messaging with event positioning.
* Share market insights and client feedback to help shape event development.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Proven B2B sales experience, ideally in exhibitions, conferences, media, or a similar consultative sales environment.
* Strong cold calling and telephone sales skills, with a confident, persuasive manner.
* Experience managing a sales pipeline and CRM system (Salesforce experience preferred).
* Demonstrated ability to close deals and exceed sales targets.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
* Comfortable speaking with senior decision-makers, including CEOs, Directors, and business owners.
* Highly organised, with strong time management and follow-up discipline.
* Able to handle objections and negotiate with professionalism and resilience.
