About Us: The Allan Park Hotel has a rich history dating back to the 19th century. Originally built as a private residence in the 1860s, it was later converted into a hotel and has been welcoming guests ever since. It is a highly renowned foodie destination and has 8 well-appointed guest rooms and a suite.
Position Overview: We are currently seeking an outstanding Head Chef who is highly motivated to be part of the leadership team within our Company. The Head Chef is responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations, playing a crucial role in menu planning, food preparation, and overall kitchen management to ensure the delivery of high-quality dishes to customers.
The on-target earning for this role is £37,000 - £40,000 per annum - comprising a base salary of £34,000 - £37,000 plus a qualified estimate of £3,000 in gratuities and service charge. As a member of the team, you will also enjoy a fantastic range of perks, benefits, and rewards.
Key Responsibilities:
* A key, senior member of the culinary team, ensuring smooth operations, timely orders and deliveries, and high food hygiene standards.
* Providing ideas and techniques to create a dynamic kitchen environment.
* Benchmarking with other culinary institutions and competitors to surpass their offerings and consistently exceed customer expectations.
* Implementing a menu development process and presenting changes through informative food tastings.
* Building strong relationships with the Front of House team to promote shared passion and clear communication.
* Nurturing and developing culinary talent within the team.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience in a high-volume kitchen environment, preferably as a Head Chef or Sous Chef.
* Exceptional attention to detail and pride in delivering quality.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Passion for staying ahead of industry trends.
* Positive problem-solving attitude and strong team player.
* Excellent communication skills and organizational abilities.
