Drama Teacher (Maternity Cover) Full Time Gosport ASAP Start Teaching Personnel is working closely with a school in Gosport who are seeking a passionate and dedicated Drama Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis to cover maternity leave. This role is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to inspire and engage students at Key Stage 3, fostering a love for drama and performance. Key Responsibilities: Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and creative drama lessons for Key Stage 3 students. Develop students' confidence, creativity, and performance skills through practical and theoretical learning. Organise and direct school productions, drama clubs, or extracurricular activities as required. Monitor and support the progress of students, providing feedback and guidance to help them reach their potential. Maintain high expectations of student behaviour and engagement, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Collaborate with colleagues within the department to develop and share best practices in drama education. Contribute to the wider school community, participating in staff meetings, professional development, and school events. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification. Experience teaching Drama at Key Stage 3 level. A passion for drama education and the ability to inspire and motivate students. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Excellent organisational and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to extracurricular activities. Desirable: Experience directing or supporting school productions or drama clubs. Knowledge of a range of drama techniques and approaches to performance.
