A fuel company based in North West London are on the lookout for a switched-on and experienced HR Generalist to join their growing team.
The client is looking for someone with experience with all aspects of the HR function, payroll, employee relations (specifically comfortable carrying out disciplinaries, grievances etc) and performance management would be beneficial.
The main purpose of a HR Generalist role is:
Running all functional aspects of in-house Human Resources including reporting for our external Payroll bureau.
Recruiting new team members; creating job specifications, listing vacancies, taking part in interviews alongside managers and helping with the candidate selection.
Delivery and enhancement of on boarding including contract issue, provision of resources, new employee administration, and execution of the induction and training strategy.
Creating effective training documents and maintaining training records, this may include a Graduate programme in the future.
Maintaining and managing Health and Safety matters including training, risk assessments and employee engagement alongside senior management and H&S consultant.
Assessing individual performance against objectives, KPIs and available performance data and reporting findings and opportunities for improvement to relevant managers.
Conducting performance reviews alongside team leaders and managers.
Maintaining Human Resources documentation, policies and processes and taking advice from our external HR consultant.
Ensuring compliance with legislation and relevant non-legislative standards. Provide coaching and training throughout the business, ensuring that the business’s strategy and business goals align and remain compliant.
Communicating changes and developments throughout the organisation.
HR Generalist Specification:
CIPD Level 3 or working towards full qualification is beneficial
Proven HR generalist experience.
Strong communication skills
You should be structured and organised in your approach.
To be a self-starter and able to work independently.
Have a solid knowledge of current employment legislation and HR best practice.
Strategic thinker combined with excellent attention to detail.
A positive approach with a strong sense of team and a calm persona.
Ability to work with competing priorities and deliver to tight deadlines.
Committed to continuous professional development and have a natural curiosity for in changes in the sector.
