Our client, a well-respected IT Solutions provider, is currently seeking a Permanent 1st Line Support Engineer to join their friendly and supportive team in Scotland. You will be responsible for providing exceptional front-line support, working closely with internal teams to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
* Provide first-line technical support for users experiencing issues with Windows, Windows 365, and Server environments.
* Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems efficiently and effectively.
* Monitor and maintain IT systems, including regular updates and patches.
* Document and track support requests in the ticketing system, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.
* Assist in the onboarding of new users by setting up hardware and software, and conducting basic training on company systems.
* Collaborate with the second line support team to escalate issues that require further attention.
* Maintain a knowledge base for efficient issue resolution and user self-help resources.
* Experience providing technical support in an infrastructure environment.
* Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Windows operating systems, Windows 365, and Server management.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
* Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with non-technical users.
* Team-oriented with a strong commitment to customer service and user satisfaction.
* Proactive mindset and a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
