Head Chef - Boutique Hotel
Salary: up to £60,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: full time, 5/7, 48-50 hours per week
Location: Eastbourne - outskirts, must be able to drive, live-in available (temporary basis, up to 3 months)
Contract: Permanent
The Role:
Our client is a fabulous Boutique hotel situated in the Eastbourne area and they are looking to recruit a Head Chef to help join their brigade. The restaurant boasts a superb choice of fresh, locally sourced dishes served daily. This company also offers excellent career opportunities to develop and progress.
The role includes accommodation (on a temporary basis), but due to the remote location, own transport is highly desirable.
Your main responsibilities as Head Chef will include:
1. Writing menus and developing a brigade
2. Ensuring food safety and health and hygiene
3. Developing and training the junior members of the team
4. Understanding aspects of P&L and budgeting
5. Maintaining, ordering, and controlling food stocks within a budget
6. Ensuring food preparation and control meets requirements in respect to the set standards
What you need to get the Head Chef job:
1. Experience at Sous Chef level at a fresh food led restaurant or ideally fine dining/rosette standard
2. Qualified
3. Passionate about food
4. Enthusiastic attitude and willingness to take operations to the next level
The Reward:
Up to £60,000
Live-in available if needed at low cost for relocating candidates (3 months)
