Digital User Acceptance Testing Specialist - 12 month Fixed Term Contract
Job Introduction
Are you passionate about user experiences and outcomes? Here at Skipton Building Society we have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Digital User Acceptance Testing Specialist to join our Digital function.
Your main responsibilities will include writing and executing test scripts, through the eyes of the customer, for our Digital customer platforms and applications to ensure seamless journeys and experiences are delivered and fit for purpose.
Who Are We?
You will be joining a small friendly team of experienced and passionate UAT Specialists, where you will be collaborating with various Digital disciplines such as Digital UX Designers, our UI Design function, and other stakeholders throughout Technology and wider business areas. Your role will be to test our Digital customer platforms and applications across the Digital landscape including websites and mobile applications.
What Will You Be Doing?
You will be responsible for the creation and execution of test cases for our online customer journeys and experiences on our digital customer platforms and applications. This includes testing across multiple browsers and devices, capturing test evidence, raising bugs and ensuring it meets acceptance criteria.
Collaboration with multiple stakeholders across the business is key to delivering a variety of exciting changes and enhancements. This will include attending, and contributing to, agile ceremonies such as user story refinements, sprint planning and retrospectives, representing the Digital User Acceptance Testing Team and managing own workloads appropriately.
You will need to be ‘hands on’ to support cultivating a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team by contributing to standards and process enhancements.
What Do We Need From You?
We are looking for a customer focused individual with a positive attitude to deliver amazing customer experiences online. Someone who has a great attention to detail, a desire for quality and can build knowledge to liaise with system testing and development teams on technical topics. Communication skills and ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships both within and across different teams is important.
Experience in digital user acceptance testing, with a customer lens, and will be skilled in using test and defect management tools (Microsoft DevOps) cross browser testing platforms (BrowserStack) and device testing (iOS & Android). An understanding of software development lifecycles & Agile Principles, in relation to UAT testing and quality assurance.
Working, collaborating and communicating clearly with a variety of technical and non-technical stakeholders, is vital to ensure a smooth service throughout the testing lifecycle.
Working in a fast-paced agile environment, managing multiple deadlines, you will need to be able to work collaboratively as part of a team and on your own initiative.
